Registration & Account

Getting Started on Humraah

Everything you need to know before you register — and what happens immediately after.

How do I register on Humraah?
Registration takes 15 minutes and happens entirely on humraah.in — no app download needed. You begin by choosing your section (Pehla Rishta or Naya Safar), then verify your WhatsApp number with a 6-digit OTP. After that, you choose between Self Managed and Family Managed, complete your profile across 5 blocks, pay ₹499, and complete Aadhaar verification. Your profile is then reviewed and goes live within 24 hours.
What do I need to register?
You need three things: (1) A WhatsApp-active Indian mobile number — this becomes your login ID and notification number throughout. (2) An Aadhaar card — for government identity verification after payment. (3) ₹499 — paid via any standard Indian payment method. That is everything. No documents to upload. No references needed. No community vouching.
Can I register for my son or daughter myself?
Yes — completely. The Family Managed path lets a parent or guardian register on behalf of their son or daughter, fill all profile details, receive every introduction, and manage every response. The candidate can be added as a co-manager later if the family decides, but this is entirely optional. All WhatsApp alerts go to the Family Manager's number.
How long does registration take?
Under 15 minutes for most families. The form is split into five blocks with one screen at a time — basic details, faith and practice, education and career, physical details, and family background. Aadhaar verification adds 2–3 minutes at the end. Profile review by our team takes up to 24 hours before you go live.
When will my first introduction arrive?
Within 48 hours of your profile going live — on the next scheduled slot (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Introductions arrive every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, one at a time. You must respond to an introduction before the next one appears. This is by design — quality over volume, always.
Can I pause my profile or take a break?
Yes. You can pause your profile from Account Settings at any time. This stops new introductions from arriving — you remain registered but inactive. When you're ready to resume, you reactivate and introductions continue from the next scheduled slot. There is no penalty and no additional charge for pausing or resuming.
Privacy & Safety

What We Protect. Always.

Privacy on Humraah is not a setting — it is the architecture. Here is exactly what is protected and how.

Will my daughter's photo be visible to strangers?
No — never. Your daughter's photo is uploaded during registration but is never shown on the introduction card that other families see. It only becomes accessible inside the supervised 5-day chat — and only after both families have independently said YES to each other. It is never browsed. It is never displayed to strangers. This is non-negotiable architecture, not a privacy setting.
Can anyone browse my profile on Humraah?
No. Humraah has no public profile directory. You cannot be searched or found by other members. You only exist on the platform as an introduction card — sent to specific families based on compatibility — and only the introduction card is visible, not your full profile. No browsing. No catalogue. No exceptions.
Is my WhatsApp number safe? Who can see it?
Your WhatsApp number is visible only to Humraah's internal systems — never to other members. It is not on your introduction card. It is not in your profile. It is not shared with any other family at any stage of the process — until both families choose to PROCEED at the end of the 5-day chat. At that point, contact details are exchanged mutually. Not before.
How do I know profiles on Humraah are real?
Every profile on Humraah goes through Aadhaar verification against the Government of India's identity database before going live. This is not a self-certified badge or a document upload. It is a real-time government identity check. The person on every introduction card is real, their name is real, and their existence is confirmed by the government. No profile goes live without this.
What if I find a fake or misrepresented profile?
Contact us immediately via WhatsApp with the details. We investigate every report personally and act on it the same day. Misrepresentation in any form — education, income, lifestyle, family status — is grounds for permanent removal from the platform. Our credibility with every family depends on this. It is a moral commitment, not just a policy.
Is Humraah compliant with India's data protection laws?
Yes. Humraah complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA). Your personal data is held securely, used only to power the introduction and matching process, and never sold to advertisers, shared with third parties, or used for any other purpose. You can request deletion of your data at any time from Account Settings.
The Process

How Introductions & Chats Work

From your first introduction to the final decision — every step explained clearly.

How do introductions work on Humraah?
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, one curated introduction appears on your dashboard. You see a card with the person's name, age, city, sect, practice level, education, profession, 3 character traits, and Wali status — but never their photo. You respond YES, NO, or LATER. You must respond before the next introduction appears. Maximum 3 introductions per week. This is intentional — quality over volume, always.
What happens when both families say YES?
Both families receive the other's complete biodata — all 5 profile blocks. Neither is told until both have said YES. They then have 3 days to review the full biodata and decide: PROCEED to chat, or PASS. If both PROCEED, the 5-day supervised chat opens. Photos become visible inside the chat via a toggle in the header.
How does the 5-day chat work?
The chat is open for 5 days with unlimited messages. An automatic content filter blocks inappropriate language. A photo toggle in the chat header lets each family view the other's photo when they choose. On Day 3, a gentle Istikhara reminder is sent. On Day 5, both families are asked: PROCEED or CLOSE? PROCEED → contact exchange and offline continuation. CLOSE → the chat ends gracefully, no awkwardness, both return to the introduction queue.
What does the LATER option mean?
LATER moves the current introduction to the end of your queue. Your other introductions arrive normally — and this one returns to you after you have responded to the rest. It gives you time to consult family or think without losing the introduction. There is no time limit on LATER. The introduction stays in your queue until you respond YES or NO.
Does the other family know if I say NO?
No. If you say NO, the other family is never told it was a NO. They only see that the introduction did not proceed. Your decision is completely private. Their dignity is preserved. There is no awkwardness, no rejection message, no indication of the reason. Both families simply move forward with their respective introduction queues.
What happens after the chat ends and both families PROCEED?
Contact details — WhatsApp numbers — are exchanged between both families. The conversation continues offline, as families. Humraah's role ends here. We do not monitor or facilitate what happens next. The rishta process then follows whatever path the two families decide together. It is entirely in the families' hands from this point.
Pricing

₹499. The Whole Story.

No asterisks. No fine print. Every pricing question answered completely.

Is ₹499 really the only charge? No hidden fees?
Yes. ₹499 is your complete and total cost on Humraah. There are no hidden charges, no standard vs. premium versions, no feature unlocks, no additional payment of any kind. Every feature — Aadhaar verification, 3 introductions per week, the 5-day chat, Family Manager path, WhatsApp alerts, introduction history, customer support — is included in the ₹499 registration. Nothing is locked behind a higher tier.
What if I don't find a match? Do I pay again?
No. Your ₹499 registration does not expire. Introductions continue every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for as long as your profile is active — no renewal fee, no re-registration charge, no annual subscription. ₹499 once means ₹499 once. If you pause your profile and return after a year, there is no additional charge to resume.
What is the hadiah and how much should I give?
A hadiah is a traditional Islamic gift of gratitude — after your Nikah, you give what you think is right. ₹100. ₹10,000. Whatever your heart and circumstances say. There is no suggested amount. No invoice. No bracket. No receipt. Humraah is community-supported: families who found their Humraah give freely, and that generosity sustains the platform for the next family searching. We will never ask, never follow up, never make it a condition of anything.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
The ₹499 registration fee is non-refundable once your profile has been verified and activated. However, if you encounter a genuine platform issue, a misrepresented profile, or a problem we caused — contact us via WhatsApp immediately. We investigate and resolve every concern personally. If a profile is verified to have been misrepresented, we take corrective action on the platform.
Do Pehla Rishta and Naya Safar cost the same?
Yes. ₹499 always — for every family, every section, every circumstance. There is no premium charge for Naya Safar. There is no higher price for any background. Equal dignity means equal cost. Always.
Does the Family Manager pay extra?
No. The Family Managed path is included in the ₹499 registration — same cost, full access. Whether the candidate manages their own profile or a parent manages it on their behalf, one account, one fee, everything included. Co-management (both parent and candidate access) is also included at no extra cost.
For Families

Parents, Guardians & Walis

Questions specific to family involvement, the Wali system, and managing a profile on behalf of a son or daughter.

Can my parents manage everything without me being involved?
Yes — completely. The Family Managed path lets a parent or guardian do everything: register, fill the profile, receive all introductions, respond YES/NO/LATER, and manage the chat. All WhatsApp alerts go to the parent's number. The candidate does not need to be actively using the platform. Whether or not they are co-managed later is entirely the family's decision.
What is the Wali row on the introduction card?
When an account is Family Managed or has a registered Wali, the introduction card shows a highlighted row: "Wali: [relationship] — Registered and actively managing." This tells the receiving family that proper guardianship is involved before any conversation begins. The Wali's name and contact are not shown — only their relationship (Father, Mother, Brother, Uncle, etc.) and their active status.
I am a widow — can I join Humraah?
Yes. Naya Safar is for everyone beginning again after any form of the end of a previous marriage — widows, widowers, and divorcees alike. The section was built to hold every form of this journey with equal dignity and warmth. You do not need to explain your circumstances to anyone. Your reason is your own.
How are my children from a previous marriage shown?
The introduction card shows only: "Has children from a previous marriage." Nothing else — no number, no ages, no gender, no circumstances. These details are yours to share inside the supervised chat, when and if you choose. The card simply gives the other family the basic fact so they know from the start — without broadcasting details to anyone.
My son lives abroad. Can we register from India?
Yes. The Family Manager can be in India and manage the profile for a candidate living abroad. The WhatsApp verification requires an Indian number for the account. The candidate's location can be listed as abroad, and their openness to relocation can be marked clearly on the profile. Introductions will account for this in the matching process.
Can I see who is viewing my son or daughter's introduction card?
Your profile is not publicly browsable — it is only ever shown as part of a specific introduction sent to a specific family. You can see in your Introduction History which introductions have been sent from your side and what responses have come back. You can see when a mutual YES has been established. But you cannot see who else has been shown your card in their queue — this protects both sides equally.
