Child Safety Standards

This is a translation for your convenience. If it differs from the English version, the English version applies.

Humraah prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation absolutely. There are no exceptions, no warnings and no second chances. Any account involved is removed permanently and reported to the authorities.

Humraah is for adults only

Humraah is a matrimonial platform for adults seeking marriage. Nobody under 18 may create a profile or use the service.

Every member verifies their identity with Aadhaar before their profile becomes active. Registration is refused below the legal minimum age for marriage in India — 21 for men and 18 for women — and any profile found to belong to a minor is removed permanently.

We also apply Google Play's Restrict Declared Minors setting, so the app is not available to users whose Google account indicates they are under 18.

What is prohibited

The following are forbidden on Humraah and are grounds for immediate and permanent removal:

These rules apply to every part of Humraah: profiles, photographs, biodata, introductions and conversations.

How to report

You do not need an account to report a concern, and you do not need to be certain before you report. If something worries you, tell us.

1

In the app. Open the conversation, use Report, and choose the reason that fits. Every conversation carries this option.

2

By email, if you cannot use the app or the concern is urgent.

Please include anything that helps us find the account: the name shown on the profile, the registered number if you know it, and when the contact happened.

What we do when we are told

Conversations on Humraah are supervised and automatically screened for prohibited content, so some material is caught before anyone reports it.

Reporting to authorities

Humraah complies with Indian law on the protection of children, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Confirmed child sexual abuse material is reported to the appropriate authority, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in and, where the matter falls within their remit, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

We cooperate fully with law enforcement requests relating to child safety.

Point of contact

The following address receives child safety notifications, including from Google Play, and reaches a person able to speak to our review and enforcement procedures and to act on them.
